Tonight is the 23rd Annual Taste of Larchmont is Monday, August 24 from 6-9 p.m.  In addition to showcasing all the restaurants on street, there will also be live music, a silent auction and a raffle with fabulous items donated from many of the businesses on Larchmont, including Duvall Design, Sage Lifestyle, Malin+Goetz, Diptyque, Jessica from Sunset, Landis Stationary and Dr. Pilates, just to name a few.

Silent Auction and Raffle organizer extraordinaire Patti Carroll of Hollywoodland Realty share some of the highlights of the  silent auction.

  • Lunch or dinner for two hosted by Councilman David Ryu
  • A 1.5 litre bottle of 2003 Provenance Cabernet Sauvignon “Holiday Cuvee.” Its value is approximately $150.00. It is aged and ready to drink; perfect for a Thanksgiving or other holiday dinner table. Provenance Cabernets are very opulent, from the Rutherford region of Napa Valley.
  • Two nights at the Standard Hotel
  • Wine tasting dinner for two and gift basket from the Ebell of Los Angeles
  • Two orchestra seats to Annie at the Pantages
  • Greek Theater tickets to the Yes/Toto concert and more!

Raffle items include:

  • Dinner for 2 at 12 fabulous restaurants
  • Golden Globe Swag bag with a night at the Redbury Hotel and tickets to the Hollywood Bowl with picnic basket from La Brea Bakery
  • Peets coffee tour with a pound a month for 12 months 
  • Massage or acupuncture from Larchmont Traditional Medicine 
  • Spa treatment at Larchmont Sanctuary
  • Wine tasting class for 8 donated by Fanciful
  • Gift certificates to many wonderful stores on Larchmont… And much much more! You do not have to be there to win.

Taste of Larchmont features more than 20 Larchmont restaurants including Burger Lounge, California Roll and Sushi, Chan Dara, Crumbs, El Cholo, Go Get ‘Em Tiger, Kiku Sushi, Larchmont Wine, Spirits and Cheese, Le Pain Quotidien, Le Petit Greek, Louise’s Trattoria, Pinches Tacos, Prado, Vernetti, Village Pizzeria and Z Pizza. Also participating is Erin McKenna’s Bakery, Café Gratitude, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Fanciful Foods, Nature’s baker, Salt & Straw and Yogurtland.  The Ebell of Los Angeles will also participate for the first time, showcasing its catering cuisine.

Tickets are $40 each, available at www.hope-net.info.  Proceeds from the event support Hope-Net, an interfaith consortium of 14 local churches, temples and mosques with food pantries that help feed and house the hungry in our metropolitan community.  In 2012, the most recent year for which data has been compiled, Hope-Net supported pantries served over one million meals to 333,000 clients who faced food insecurity on a regular basis.  More information can be found at www.hope-net.info.
