Soles 4 Souls Holiday Shoe Drive

solesforsoulsheader3

If you’re planning a trip to the Wilshire Rotary’s Christmas tree lot on Larchmont this year, you might want to consider bringing a gently used pair of shoes with you.  Hunter Campen, a 7th grader at St. Brendan School, is coordinating a Soles 4 Souls shoe drive at the lot, to help provide much-needed footwear to needy people around the world.  Hunter outlines the program in a letter he recently sent to the community:

Dear Friends,

This holiday season I am organizing a shoe drive for Soles 4 Souls. They have distributed 26 million pairs to people in need in 127 countries and all 50 states – and I’d like to add to their total with your help!

If you’re like me, you’re fortunate enough to have all the shoes you need and more. Please look in your closet for those gently worn pairs you don’t use any more, and bring them to our collection. A pair of shoes that’s no longer useful for you could make a huge difference in someone else’s life.

From December 1 – 21 please bring your gently worn shoes to the Wilshire Rotary Christmas Tree lot, located at 568 N. Larchmont Blvd.

We can collect shoes for kids and adults, but are really looking to make a difference in the lives of kids this holiday season.

WHEN: Dec 1 – 21, 10am-8pm
WHERE: 568 N Larchmont Blvd.

It’s an easy way to help make someone else’s holiday season just a little bit happier.
