This past Thursday night was the 4th Annual Sunset and Dine Food Festival held at the Buzzfeed Motion Picture space on Vine St. The completely sold-out event brought together lots of great neighborhood restaurants and local foodies.
Some of the highlights included live music, sushi selections from Blue C Sushi, churros from Beso, sandwiches from Ciabatta Bar, radish tacos and delicious cookies from Food and Bounty, a selection of wines from Saint Felix and many others. The event was a perfect chance to sample local restaurants’ fare and meet some of their chefs and owners. Most of the stands had chefs preparing their dishes on site, ensuring it was extremely fresh.
In addition to the vendors, there was a live band playing music for the crowd curated by Amoeba Music, a life-size Jenga game and a devoted space for corn hole, making this event fun for kids and adults alike. The Buzzfeed Motion Picture space is perfect  for an event like this, with ample grassy area, hanging twinkly lights, picnic tables and enough concrete space for the guests to mingle among the different food and beverage stands.
Sunset and Dine brings to light how many wonderful and eclectic restaurants and watering holes we have in the Hollywood area. Most of the restaurants featured at this event are on the smaller side and only have one brick and mortar location, making it that much more important that they are supported by the local community. Some of the restaurants featured also offer catering, such as Food and Bounty and Farmer’s Belly. It was a fun night that exposed us to lots of new spots that I look forward to trying in the future.
