We usually save event wrap-ups for the weekends, but several interesting items crossed our desk for tonight, so here’s a mini-version of our weekly roundup…on Tuesday.

Tuesdays@MONKSpace, which offers “cutting-edge music and adventurous interdisciplinary arts programming in an interactive and inspiring environment” (a onetime Koreatown speakeasy), will launch its fall concert series tonight with  ELEKTROFLUT∃, New Music for Flute and Electronics by acclaimed flute player Guiomar Espiñeira. The concert will feature music by Johnson, Quiñones, Gaytán-Procel, and Tuesdays@MONK Space’s very own Jason Heath. Tickets are available at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2252484. Tuesdays @ MONK Space is curated by Grammy® nominated pianist Aron Kallay and composer Jason Heath, with assistance from composers Adam Borecki and Colin Horrocks.

Also tonight, the Rooftop Film Club , which we’ve written about before, launches Chick Flick Tuesdays tonight. Perched sky-high on the iconic roof of The Montalbãn, the Rooftop Film Club will be featuring films with powerful leading ladies (and eye candy male counterparts) packed full of scandal, lust, romance, laughter and love every Tuesday throughout October 2015.  The schedule includes:

Tuesday, September 29, 2015: The Notebook
Tuesday, October 6, 2015: Father of the Bride
Tuesday, October 13, 2015: Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Tuesday, October 20, 2015: Dirty Dancing

Tickets are $15.00 (plus service charge) per person. Doors open at 6:00 pm and screening time is at 8:00 pm.

And, finally, if community concerns are more your cup of tea, the monthly meeting of the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council‘s Land Use Committee is this evening, 6:30 p.m. in the Assembly Room of the Wilshire United Methodist Church (4350 Wilshire Blvd.).  This month’s agenda includes discussions of the installation of cell phone equipment atop an historic apartment building at 407 S. Gramercy, permitting for a new Starbucks at 655 N. Rossmore, and a 21-unit condominium building proposed for 901 S. Gramercy.
