Upcoming CD4 Events: Holiday Party & El Niño Town Hall Meeting

City Council Member David Ryu’s office is inviting area constituents to two upcoming CD4 events.

The first, on Sunday, December 6, is a holiday party that also celebrates the opening of the new CD4 Hollywood Field Office at 6501 Fountain Ave. (90028).  The event will run from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and will feature a shoe drive and an ugly sweater contest.  RSVP at www.davideryu.com/events.

The second event, a Town Hall meeting on preparing for the upcoming El Niño winter, will take place the next day, Monday, December 7, at 6:30 p.m. at Gardner Street Elementary School, 7540 Hawthorn Ave., 90048.  In addition to Council Member Ryu, speakers will include LAFD Deputy Chief Joe Castro, and other panelists who will talk about the potentially wet winter weather, what you can do to be ready, and what the City of LA is doing to prepare.  RSVP for this event also at davideryu.com/events and sign up for emergency alerts at elninola.com to register for emergency alerts.
