Tuesday, March 10, 7-9 pm: A panel discussion will feature author Jill Leovy, award-winning reporter for the LA Times, and Austin Beutner,  publisher and CEO of the LA Times. In 2007, she started the blog The Homicide Report, which documented every homicide in Los Angeles County.Ghettoside, her insightful work of literary journalism about police and race relations in Los Angeles, is a truly important book for all of us who live in Los Angeles.  RSVP to  latimes.com/readinglosangeles.
Wednesday, March 11, 6:30 pm: Lisa See, author of over 10 novels based on the Chinese-American experience will sign copies of her latest novel, China Dolls, just out in paperback.  China Dolls is the story of three young women of different backgrounds who meet in  San Francisco’s Chinatown, 1938, but after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, find an act of betrayal changes everything.
