Multi-platinum singer Josh Groban, who grew up in Hancock Park, will be signing copies of his recently released CD ‘Stages’ at Barnes & Noble at The Grove. The CD is a collection of songs from the world’s greatest musicals. The signing event takes place on Friday, May 8 at 7pm.
Groban attended Plymouth Pre-School, St. James School and Los Angeles County High School for the Arts at Cal State University Los Angeles where he was introduced to vocal coach Seth Riggs. Riggs introduced Groban to his friend, Grammy winner David Foster, who used Groban as a rehearsal singer on some major events. Groban’s talent was quickly noticed and his vocal career took off and Foster remains a big influence on Groban’s career. The CD ‘Stages’ is Groban’s 7th studio album.
