LAPD Olympic Division will host a Town Hall Meeting with LA City Attorney Mike Feuer on Wednesday, January 21. The meeting is designed to bring together citizens who live within the LAPD Olympic Division footprint in order to introduce the new Neighborhood Prosecutor, Steve Houchin.
According to the City Attorney’s website:
The [Neighbohood Prosecutor] program focuses on fighting the most corrosive crimes for communities: drug sales, prostitution, illegal dumping, graffiti, and street racing. Operating under the “brokens windows” theory, Neighborhood Prosecutors aim to identify, prioritize, and address these criminal problems before they grow into more serious offenses that can lead to urban decay in our communities. City prosecutors understand that the ability to respond to neighborhood complaints and address criminal problems proactively is critical to improving the quality of life in our neighborhoods.
The Town Hall meeting takes place at the Huffington Center at St. Sophia Cathedral. It’s a nice opportunity to see this venue and learn about how you can tap into the Neighborhood Prosecutor as a community resource.
