Olympic Park Neighborhood Council Annual Free Dinner

OPNC Community Buffet
Last year’s OPNC event at Pips was a friendly affair.

If you reside within the boundaries of Olympic to Pico and La Brea to Normandie, then you won’t want to miss the free annual community get-together at Pips on La Brea this Thursday, Sept 11 sponsored by the Olympic Park Neighborhood Council (OPNC.)

This fourth annual event offers up a buffet-style Italian meal (food is free, cash bar)  at Pips on La Brea, one of the hidden gems in the area, with its outdoor patio and live jazz nightly.  Past events drew 75-100 people who have an opportunity to connect with their neighbors and hear about the OPNC and their accomplishments.

John Jake OPNC
OPNC outgoing president, John Jake.

This year will honor the two LAPD officers who were on duty when a random gunman opened fire at the LAPD Wilshire Division headquarters last April just as the OPNC Board was meeting in a meeting room nearby.

John Jake has served as OPNC’s president for the past two years and will host the event along with board member Daphne Brogdon. They will pass along the OPNC reins to the new president Jocelyn Duarte and new vice-president Anya Adams, and thank stakeholders, businesses and residents for their support of the OPNC.  The event will take place from 6-8 pm – don’t miss it!
