Two Meetings on Purple Line Subway Along Wilshire

Hidden behind the fence, the MTA lot on WIlshire between Lorraine and Crenshaw, is a staging area for the Purple Line Extension and the activity is bothering some Windsor Village residents.

There are two public meetings this week for Wilshire area residents to learn more details on the Metro Purple Line digging soon to begin down Wilshire Boulevard.

Residents of Windsor Village have already seen, and felt, the impact of the construction as the Metro Lot at Wilshire and Crenshaw has begun being used as a staging area. Lorraine Blvd residents complain about truck noise during non-business hours and have called a meeting with Metro to try to find solutions:

Construction will begin later this year with the Purple Line Extension expected to be open in 2023.
