40' x 20' screen will hang off the red brick wall; loads of lawn seating

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences proudly presents their gift to Hollywood – the Oscars Outdoors. The venue – an outdoor movie theater with a 40′ x 20′ permanent screen, a 10,000 square foot plaza, and lawn seating for sitting on a blanket or a low chair – is likely to become the summer destination for date night, family night out, teen meet ups and fun for all.

Tickets go on sale on June 1st.

The summer line up can be viewed at the Oscars Outdoors website…but let us just say it starts with Casablanca (1942) on June 15th, followed by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) on June 16th.  This just might put the trend to in-home theaters out of commission.

Gates open at 6p – screenings start at Sunset. Tickets are $5 General and $3 Students/Academy Members.
