The LA Times reported yesterday that Writer-Producer Kevin Williamson purchased the Nantucket-inspired home reworked by Brian Little of BGL Design Construction for $8.1 million. The sale went through on the 23rd of December.

Williamson is best known for creating “Dawsons Creek” and “Vampire Diaries” for television, and was the screenwriter on three of the “Scream” films as well as the writer on the “Stalker” series.

Local residents have seen the complete remodel of the home underway on the 300 block of South Windsor, with the 100 year old home taken down to the studs  and subterranean reinforcement during the exhaustive renovation. The Redfin real estate listing (with photos) described the redo as “in the spirit of some classic elements of architect Paul Williams, the residence balances detailed craftsmanship of an earlier era with crisp interpretation of today.”  The home was sold by Timothy Enright of the Enright Company with a $8.1 price tag,  considerably updated and up-priced from the last sale of the home in 2005 for $2.3 million. The house has 5 bedrooms and 7 baths, an in ground pool, spa and waterfall, and fireplaces in four rooms.

Designer Brian Little is making his mark on the Hancock Park – Windsor Square area with his “classic residential restoration” including other properties on Rossmore Ave. and Windsor Blvd. BGL Design includes exterior, interior and landscape design.
