Sure, people often look like their dogs. But their cars? Perhaps no where else in the world do individuals identify with their automobiles as we do here in Southern California: you are what you drive.

Fine artist and photographer Ryan Schude makes this obvious connection in an ongoing series of photographs of cars and their owners, titled “Them and Theirs.”

Schude, who attended San Francisco Art Institute and lives near Dodger Stadium, works with the auto owners to bring out the best of both owner and automobile. We’ve included a few here for you to whet your appetite, click on over to Schude’s website to look through a couple dozen more, and maybe get up the nerve to ask him to shoot one of you and yours.

How would you best stage the ultimate photo of you and your favorite set of wheels?
