Sixty Second Visual Taste of Trois Mec Menu

Still from the short film “Trois Mec – 60 Second Tasting Menu”

For those of us who still haven’t gotten a seat at one of LA’s tough-to-book tables, there is now a 60 Second Tasting Menu that takes us on visual trot through one night’s set menu at Trois Mec on Highland. The dance between the chef’s fingers and the delicate presentation of some pretty fancy food makes for one mouth-watering minute.

Though it looks like a hole-in-the-wall at first glance, Trois Mec hides celebrity chef  Ludo Lefebvre behind a mini-mall pizza front, and requires diners to book their tables via pre-paid $75/person tickets that come online every other Friday for tables during the following two weeks.

The national food blog Eater.com features the series, 60 Second Tasting , a “fast-paced visual tour of stunning, elaborate, and technically advanced menus currently on offer across the country.”  While most 60 Second Tasting menus to date have been for east coast establishments, the fact that short films for Spago in Beverly Hills and Trois Mec in Hancock Park are now online could mean the producers are here on the west coast.
