Wilshire Warriors Travel Teams Complete One Season; Prepare for the Next

The Wilshire Warriors Pony Baseball 9U travel team closed out a great season as the champions in the “Battle of the Foothills” tourney taking on programs from La Crescenta and Mid-Valley. The 9U team represented the Greater Hancock Park area with pride and effort!

Cooperstown 2014 369

In late July, the Warriors 12U Travel team participated in the 2014 Cooperstown Dream Park tournament. This is a program that fulfilled the dreams of the players, coaches and parents alike. The event provided cherished memories that will last a lifetime. The Warriors and 101 other teams from as far away as Canada came to play for a national title. The Warriors played some inspired ball led by Austin Aguilar’s 4 Home Runs. Hancock Park residents Jack Wells and Jake Perfitt each had 2 dingers and Brayden Stark and Saxon Riehel each had 1. The Warriors advanced thru the first 3 rounds of the tournament before falling to a team from NY in the the 4th round and finished 5-3 overall.
