The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the homicide of an 86-year-old woman that occurred in Windsor Square.
On December 22, 2014, at 7:25 p.m., police officers from Wilshire Division responded to a death investigation in the 100 block of North Beachwood Drive. The Los Angeles Fire Department, which responded first to the call, told the responding officers that they found Ms. Antonia Maria Yager, dead in her home as the result of multiple stab wounds.
West Bureau Homicide Detectives investigating the Beachwood Drive murder are asking for the public’s help to provide any information that might lead to the suspect(s) wanted for killing Ms. Yager. The tree-lined boulevard, just east of Larchmont Boulevard, is considered a safe, family-focused neighborhood with many residents walking to and from Larchmont Village just a block away.

LA Times: Philanthropist, wife of judge found stabbed to death in her home.

I am a neighbor and member of the community and wanted to take a moment to let you know a little bit of information about Antoinette Yager.
Toni was a kind and grand Lady who loved beautiful things. She was a handsome woman with a tall stature who could be seen on Larchmont Blvd from time to time in full hair and makeup, always very well dressed. She walked with a cane and had a pronounced hip problem which obviously caused her some pain but I never once heard her complain. She had an lovely Austrian accent, although some said that she was Swedish. She loved estate sales and antique shops although I had not seen her at one for a few years now. From memory, her husband passed several years ago and was a Supreme Court Judge with a storied past. I remember that her husband’s father-in-law from his first marriage, was the president of Union Pacific Railroad. She absolutely loved Larchmont and Hancock Park and was always kind and easy to be around. Although she largely kept to herself, she loved cats and if you had the good fortune to know her, she was a fascinating and lovely lady.
