CD4 Race Gains One More: Jay Beeber, Parking Activist Joins the Group

The LA Times reports that Jay Beeber, the force behind parking reform in Los Angeles, has entered the race to replace termed out CD4 Councilmember Tom LaBonge in 2015.  He is candidate #15.

Beeber lives in Sherman Oaks and according to the Times key differentiations includes:

A self-described independent who is not registered with a political party, Beeber also argues that the city has poured too much money into “unsustainable” raises for city workers at the expense of public services, such as street repairs.

Key Dates for Candidates:

We’re likely to see more candidates registering for this race before the deadline. The Primary Nominating Election will be held March 3, 2015. The General Municipal Election takes place on May 19, 2015.

  • Candidate Briefing Workshop coming in October 2014.
  • Declaration of Intention Filing begins November 3, 2014.
  • Nominating Petition Filing begins November 8, 2014.
