Poll workers at the Coldwell Banker Office (119 N. Larchmont Blvd) estimate they have 1,000 ballots for voters today though they hardly expect that many to vote.  There are 9 other nearby polling places for local voters. The polls are open today from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. It’s too late to mail in a ballot but you can drop it off at any polling place. The LA Times reported on Monday that low voter turnout makes the race hard to predict but the candidate with best get-out-the-vote effort will likely be the winner.  Both campaigns are working the phones targeting likely voter households in the district with as many as three or four calls over the past few days. Direct mail from outside committees is flooding mail boxes urging voters to make their choice between Ramsay and Ryu and vote on Tuesday.

Monday morning, the Buzz emailed both candidates running for Council District 4 asking what they were doing for the next 24 hours leading up to election day.

Carolyn Ramsay’s campaign told us Carolyn has kicked off the countdown to election day with a women’s walk on Sunday with State Controller Betty Yee, L.A. Community College Trustee Andra Hoffman, and Sandra Fluke. Monday, Ramsay spent the day knocking on doors and making phone calls while her supporters took to social media to help encourage supporters to go to the polls.

David Ryu‘s staff didn’t get back to the Buzz by this posting but according to his twitter account Ryu was also out in the district talking to voters “#TeamRyu had a great day door knocking across #CD4 enjoying the views & natural beauty of our great district! #GOTV,” tweeted Ryu.
