Obama Traffic Alert Hollywood Thursday evening

Obama Traffic Alert

President Obama is arriving in the southland today for his 21st visit, and will immediately make his way to the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ show on Hollywood Blvd for a 4 pm taping.  Obama first appeared on the show in 2008 via satellite during his first presidential campaign. It is not clear which route the presidential motorcade will take or where the President will land – areas around both LAX and the Burbank airport will have street closures.

Obama will also attend a DNC fundraiser hosted by Hollywood executive and ICM cofounder  Chris Silbermann and his wife Julia Franz for a pricey roundtable discussion.

Hollywood Boulevard, east and westbound traffic, between North Orange Drive and North Highland Avenue will have a “hard closure”  from 4:25 p.m. – 5:45 p.m today.

Below is a list of the other expected street closures, as released by city officials. Perhaps the random way they are listed is meant to confuse and not clearly indicate which routes the President will be taking during his stay. It appears he’ll be staying in a hotel on the Avenue of the Stars tonight so avoid that area both after 8:30 pm tonight and before 8 am tomorrow morning.
