Recent Crimes: LAPD Olympic Division

Burglaries continue to occur in Windsor Square and Larchmont Village, part of LAPD’s Olympic Division.  In many cases suspects gained entry to the residence or vehicle by an unlocked door or window. Senior Lead Officer Joe Pelayo reminds residents to “lock it, hide it , keep it.”

Suspects are also still posing as DWP and other types of City workers, without proper identification. Call 911 to report all suspicious persons and activity, and alert your neighbors if possible.

7/3/14,  2pm: 400 block of N. Plymouth– Suspects posed as DWP workers and entered the residence claiming they were there to check a water line inside the home. As one suspect talk with the victim, the other suspect entered the bedroom and took the victim’s wallet and jewelry.

7/3/13, between 2 pm – 2 am: 4800 Beverly (apartment complex.) Suspect smashed the side window to gain entry and removed the victim’s property (shoes and video projector.)

7/3/14  between 8 – 9:30 am: 4700 Oakwood (apartment complex.) Attempted burglary,  suspect tried to gain entry to the residence by trying to pry the door open.

7/8/14, 1 pm: 2nd St/ St Andrews Place – burglary from motor vehicle.

7/11/14, 8 pm: 500 block of North Wilton – Motor Vehicle Theft.
