Recent Crimes: LAPD Wilshire and Olympic Divisions

The following crimes occurred recently in the greater Hancock Park and Wilshire areas, including both the Wilshire and Olympic Divisions. Not included here are all the grand theft auto and burglary from motor vehicles – of which there were plenty.

Recent Crimes:

11/3/2014, 12am-7 am, 200 block N Plymouth Blvd. Suspect forced open side door of garage, pried open window of a parked vehicle, ransacked the interior, and fled without taking property.

11/5/2014, 5-6 pm, 900 block of S Plymouth Blvd. Suspect entered residence through rear bedroom window and removed jewelry.

11/6/2104, 9 am- 2:30pm, 500 block of N Arden Blvd. Suspect entered front door of residence by unknown means, ransacked interior, and removed a computer.

11/6/2014, 12-2 am, 1000 block of S Hudson. Suspect entered residence through unlocked front door and removed a laptop.

11/6/2014, 8:30am-4 pm, 900 block of S Keniston Ave. Suspect smashed closet window of residence, ransacked interior, and fled, unknown if property taken.

11/8/2014, 9 pm, 4600 block of Wilshire Blvd. Two male suspects approached victim from behind, placed a handgun against victim’s back, ordered victim to not turn around, removed money and credit cards, and fled.

11/10/2014, 1:30 pm, 400 S Wilton Place. Burglary.

11/10/2014, 9:30 am, 200 block of S Van Ness Ave.  Burglary.

11/14/2014. 7:45 pm, 500 block of S Manhattan Place. Robbery.

On a lighter note, Olympic Division is hosting their 3rd annual Operation Shoes from Santa on Friday December 12th to donate new shoes to needy and disadvantaged children in our community.  This year they are requesting the donation of new children’s shoes, in a box, any size is appreciated, but currently most needed sizes are 10 (child) to 5 (youth.) Any donation you make is tax deductible, (Tax-ID #26-3898882). Collection bins have been placed at Olympic Station. You can also contact your senior lead officer to pick up shoes from you.
