Road Work on Wilshire Blvd at Crenshaw and Fairfax

Curb and bus lane work on the eastbound lane of Wilshire Boulevard near Crenshaw will begin today, Saturday September 13, and continue for a week. Traffic will be reduced to one lane for the Metro contractor to remove and replace the concrete bus lane and curb. Bus stops will be relocated and traffic on Crenshaw will also be slowed greatly. The construction will occur from 7 am – 8 pm daily, probably through next weekend, September 21,  so avoid the area if at all possible. More information at the BRT Website. 

The intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Fairfax Ave. will be down to one lane with no turns, today (Saturday Sept 13) and on Saturday September 27, 2014, so that Metro contractors can remove asphalt and excavate for the utility relocation relating to the Purple Line Extension. Reroute your travels to avoid the area if at all possible.  More information at the Metro Website.
