President Barack Obama is scheduled to arrive in Los Angeles this Wednesday, July 23, to speak at a Democratic National Committee fundraising reception and dinner at the Hancock Park home of television producer Shonda Rhimes. The event’s co-chairs include Kerry Washington, the star of the Rhimes- produced ABC drama “Scandal.”
The Los Angeles visit is part of a three-day West Coast tour that begins Tuesday in Seattle for the first of a series of Democratic fundraisers. On Wednesday, the President will attend a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee fundraiser in San Francisco.

The President’s route, mode of transportation, event start time and location have not been publicly disclosed due to security precautions. Trying to get more information from LAPD Wilshire Division. According to a sign I saw today (July 23) at Memorial Library, the President is due to arrive at 4:30pm at LA High via helicopter, returning after a private event in Hancock Park at 8pm. There is also supposed to be a 3pm demonstration @ Memorial Library to “greet” him. Will send note on Windsor Village Neighborhood yahoo group.
