A water main broke along Lorraine Blvd and Fifth early Monday morning, leaving the streets flooded with water, DWP crews scurrying to stop the flow, and approximately 40 Windsor Square residents without water for their morning showers.
The rupture occurred around 6 am. CBS Los Angeles reported the six inch cast iron pipe was installed in 1925. Work crews repaired the main line all morning on Monday; it is expected that city crews will also have to repair the concrete street later this week.
