You may have noticed, we’ve been taking a bit of a break here at the Larchmont Buzz to enjoy the summer. We would be remiss, however, Â if we didn’t inform the community that the intersection of Wilshire Blvd and La Brea Ave will be closed for much of the coming weekend due to Metro work on the utility relocation for digging of the subway. Traffic will be rerouted per the directives, below.
The northern section of Larchmont Blvd, between Beverly and Melrose will also be closed off this weekend for street repaving.
Utility Relocation Work, Wilshire and La Brea IntersectionNote: This construction work will close the intersection of La Brea and Wilshire nightly from 8pm to 6am 8/11 to 8/14 and 10pm 8/14 to 8am 8/15. Please plan accordingly if traveling after 8pm in this area.SUMMARYNight Work: Metro contractors will be performing utility relocation work at the intersection of Wilshire and La Brea beginning 8pm Monday, August 11 and continuing nightly from 8pm to 6am until 6am Friday, August 14 and 10pm Friday, August 14 to 8am Saturday, August 15. Work consists of new electrical duct relocation improvements and water distribution advancements. This operation requires the following lane closures:

In case you missed it, the City of Los Angeles is paving Larchmont Blvd, between Melrose and Beverly Bl., this Saturday, (tomorrow) and Sunday.
The street will be closed to vehicles, but most businesses will remain open. (Curves will be open, asking members to park on side streets.)
