David Ryu Campaign Pledges the Subject of LA Times Story Today

Can CD4’s new Councilman David Ryu keep all his campaign promises? The questions are already starting for Councilman-elect, David Ryu who takes office July 1.

In his succesful campaign, Ryu described himself as an outsider who would only answer to his constituents. The Los Angeles Times reported today the challenge that Mr. Ryu will face trying to appease all the neighborhood and advocacy groups who elected him on the promise that he would deliver.  Verbal campaign promises are nothing new, but in Ryu’s case, many of them are signed written pledges.

One homeowner group is already threatening a recall if Ryu doesn’t keep his word.
