Larchmont Dentist Dr. Louie Opens New High-Tech Office

Dr. Shervin M. Louie has been a resident dentist in the Larchmont Medical Building for some twenty years, giving patients winning smiles with his cosmetic, general and implant dentistry work. But lately his patients are smiling for another reason – his lush new offices with penthouse views puts a smile on patient’s faces as soon as they enter.

“We wanted to capitalize on the breathtaking view from Beverly Hills, past the Hollywood Hills and sign, and out to the Los Felis area,” Louie told the Larchmont Buzz. “At the same time I wanted to upgrade to the most high-tech, state-of-the art equipment so as to provide personalized, exceptional and comfortable care for my patients.” Dr. Louie purchased the dental practice from Dr. Ronald Kaiden and has been practicing on the 6th floor for 20 years before moving four floors up.

The sleek gray, white and glass offices showcase the modern technology perfectly: white linen waiting room chairs look out at the view, while the five glass-walled dental “operatories” are equipped with painless drills and video screens at each dental chair giving patients an opportunity to see and understand exactly what is going on in his or her mouth. Not everyone wants to see the imagery his intra-oral cameras show,  but many people do want to understand what dental work is being done and why.

” My entire dental care team and I are passionate about what we do day in, day out and for the last twenty years. We have been working to build a reputation, an outstanding dental care team and now an amazing dental office, and most importantly, a practice full of satisfied patients. We also specialize in dealing with patients with dental phobia. We have an anesthesiologist on hand and can put patients in a light sleep so the visit is easy on them,” Louie said.

Other high tech equipment includes a new sterilization system that disinfects with high temperature steam instead of chemicals, a digital x-ray system which reduces exposure by up to 95%, and of course the elegant cream-white dental chairs which offer patients heat and/or a light massage.

Dr. Louie is a graduate of USC and has been a faculty member of the USC School of Dentistry for ten years, is Co-Chairman of the Los Angeles Dental Society Peer Review Committee (a dental Arbitration system for Greater Los Angeles), and a Board member of the Larchmont Boulevard Association (LBA.)

To celebrate the grand opening of their new offices, Dr. Louie and his team will be hosting an Open House for LBA members, patients and members of the community on December 4, 2014 from 4 -8 pm with food, drinks and conversation promising one very pleasant trip to the dentist.
