One of Larchmont Farmers’ Market’s favorite vendors will be running in the LA Marathon on Sunday. Laurent Bonjour, the proprietor of Laurent Bonjour’s Cheese Corner, will run the 26.2 miles in honor of his father who died of Lupus in 2011.

The 2014 LA Marathon will be the 3rd in a row for Bonjour. He uses the challenge as an opportunity to raise money for the LA Lupus Foundation – the organization that provides services for people with Lupus and their families so that they get the care they need.

Bonjour was born in the French Alps, in Annecy-County of Haute Savoie. The region is famous for cheeses, wine and great restaurants. He apprenticed under some of the best chefs in the area and then set out to run his own catering business. He moved to the US in 1992 and settled in California to continue his catering career. By 2000 he began to hone in on his expertise for cheese and in time the Cheese Corner cheese truck was born.
