Windsor Square-Hancock Park Historical Society Presents the Los Angeles Garden Party, Sunday April 21st
Each Spring the Los Angeles Garden Party represents a celebration of the beauty of the season in our neighborhood. It’s a time when Angelenos who appreciate gardening and landscape design come together to get ideas and to honor those who advocate for public green space.
A special feature of the LA Garden Tour and Party is guest lecturer C. Darren Butler, ecological designer/horticulturist. Butler is known for his work in designing low-maintenance “food forests” in residential landscapes. For Butler, a productive garden begins and ends with the eco-system that exists in the soil. He’ll discuss things each of us can do on our own to maximize the health and abundance of our soil – and as a result, our gardens.
Thanks to the stewardship of the event organizer – Windsor Square and Hancock Park Historical Society – the Los Angeles Garden Tour and Party plays an important role in our neighborhood. Funds raised from the event are used to finance green-space projects in the area.
