No Marijuana Coming to Larchmont

The only weed to be found on Larchmont will still be just in the medians.

The rumor that a medical marijuana collective would be moving into the former Blockbuster location is “absolutely false,” said Evan Meyer, leasing agent for the space owned by his family. Meyer, who spoke with us yesterday, said he’s close to leasing the space to a tenant that would make the neighborhood proud. “We are talking with several upscale tenants that currently have multiple locations,” said Meyer.  He hopes to have a deal signed in the next several months.

The rumor ripped through the neighborhood over the past few weeks, no doubt aided by a flyer posted on the street. Clearly wishful thinking on the part of the poster’s author who included the scan code for their website.

Needless to say, it’s a fake and the rumor is false. Check back to find out what’s really going into the retail space.
