Landis’ Labyrinth Explorers Opens (re-opens) on Larchmont

Landis’ Labyrinth Explorers toy store now open at 142 N Larchmont Blvd

Landis’ Labyrinth Explorers, the newest toy store in the Landis Labyrinth toy store empire owned by Devoney Wolfus, has opened at 142 N. Larchmont Blvd. after the space was shuttered for months to make repairs to the store floor caused by plumbing damage.

“Good news for kids, families and actually for everyone who loves fun and adventures: Landis’ Labyrinth just opened a third toy store on Larchmont Boulevard,” said Ioana Slaniceanu, Marketing Manager at Landis’ Labyrinth Toy Shop.

We completely agree, you can never have too many toy stores for the kids in all of us!

“Landis’ Labyrinth Explorers is the name of the new magical place located at 142 N. Larchmont Boulevard, right between the other two toy stores: Landis’ Labyrinth Early Years and Landis’ Labyrinth Classic Toy Shop,” explained Slaniceanu, who can often be seen at the store organizing special events to entertain and engage young customers. “The new store will focus on outdoor toys, furniture, pool toys, kites, science kits and everything you can imagine for active play and adventurous souls and minds.”

“Outdoor adventures are important bonding opportunities because families that play together develop long-lasting, supportive and strong relationships,” said owner Devoney Wolfus, a second generation Larchmont shop owner who grew up in the neighborhood. “We believe that active play lays the foundation for a lifetime of healthy habits. Our objective is to inspire kids to be active, engaged and adventurous,” added Wolfus.

According to Slaniceanu, “the Explorers Store is designed to encourage a healthy active lifestyle for the entire family, not just for children. Get everyone moving, playing and laughing, this is our mission.”

Landis’ Labyrinth Explorers replaces Landis General Store, a quirky shop that received much appreciation from visitors, and was closed in the last couple months for construction work.

“We loved the General Store, and our customers complimented us many times for the creative selection we carried, however in these last couple months we just realized our hearts and our best competences are in the toy area, so we just listened to our instincts,” explained Wolfus.

The expanded toy empire in Larchmont Village consists now of three locations: 140, 142 and 144 N Larchmont Blvd.  Landis’ Labyrinth Early Years at 144 for moms, babies and toddlers;  Landis’ Labyrinth Classic Toy Shop at 140 focuses on board games, puzzles, classic toys, gag gifts and art & crafts; and newcomer, Landis’ Labyrinth Explorers offers anything you need for outdoor and active play: scooters, skate and surf boards, beach and pool toys, sport accessories and everything you can imagine for adventurers of any age.
