2014-15 CAASPP Test Results Released for Area Schools

On September 9, 2015, the California Department of Education released the results of the first-ever California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) test, administered to students in grades 3-8 and 11 in the spring of 2015.  (This was the new standardized test that replaced the old California STAR/CST tests used to evaluate student progress in previous years.)

As predicted by many experts, scores on the new Common Core-aligned tests were lower overall than on the old standardized tests.  According to the Los Angeles Times, only 33% of students across the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) met the standards for English Language Arts, and only 25% met them for math.

Scores for all LAUSD schools (including charters) are available on the Department of Education website .  Visit  http://caaspp.cde.ca.gov/sb2015/Search to see how your school measured up.  Results for individual students are not listed on the website, but will be mailed privately to parents from their schools.
