Big Sunday Volunteers Beautify Wilshire Crest School Campus

bigsundayheader

On Sunday, May 15, about 45 volunteers of all ages turned out to help spruce up the campus at Wilshire Crest Elementary School. As part of its 9th annual Big Sunday event, crews cleaned out and organized a large play equipment closet in the preschool play yard, sanded and re-sealed picnic tables, weeded, tilled and seeded a large garden bed, and built a couple of new wood benches for the students.

This year, the Big Sunday organization is coordinating volunteer projects every day in May…so if you’d like to get involved, there’s still time. Just check out the activities yet to come on the Month of Big Sundays calendar.
