Tonight Chevalier’s Books is hosting a book signing at 7 PM for “With the Fire on High” by Elizabeth Acevedo. the New York Times bestselling author of The Poet X whose written a a dazzling novel about a girl with talent, pride, and a drive to feed the soul that keeps her fire burning bright.

Ever since she got pregnant freshman year, Emoni Santiago’s life has been about making the tough decisions—doing what has to be done for her daughter and her abuela. Elizabeth Acevedo is the author of The Poet X, which won the 2018 National Book Award for Young People’s Literature and the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award and was a Kirkus Award finalist. She is a National Poetry Slam champion and holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of Maryland. Acevedo lives with her partner in Washington, DC.

This weekend, Buck Mason, the Los Angeles based menswear label, will be hosting their first ever Factory Seconds sale online and in-store at their Larchmont store, dubbed their Hancock Park flagship.  The sale features five year’s worth of production samples, discontinued styles and more, the sale is an opportunity for costumers to explore the brand’s evolution, while also scoring some major deals.  Online stock will include tees, jeans, sweaters, shirts, shorts, outerwear, and sweats, while the in-store sale will feature all of the above, plus leather Jackets, sneakers from Japan’s Shoes Like Pottery, hats from Stetson, and an array of one-off tees, sweaters, outerwear pieces, and denim washes.
