Ebell Installs New Leaders

With portraits of the founding members in the background, new leaders of the Ebell of Los Angeles pose for photos at the club’s annual installation luncheon, held at the Lucerne Blvd. landmark on June 25. The following local leaders were installed at the luncheon, which concluded with live entertainment from soloist Orson Van Gay II and pianist Iris Malkin.

The Ebell of Los Angeles is a philanthropic organization founded by women, for women, in 1894. Originally created for education, art and equality during a time of limited opportunities, the Ebell remains strong today. The club supports dozens of non-profits and scholarships, in addition to hosting special events, live music, dinners and community forums. The motto, “I will find a way, or make one” aligns with its core mission to encourage the educational, cultural and social growth of the diverse Los Angeles community.
