Fire at 564 N. Larchmont

Readers Eileen Lanza and Devon O’Brien alerted the Buzz to a small fire this morning at the apartment building located at 564 N. Larchmont Blvd. , which is also home to the House of G & C boutique and event space, as well as Align Physical Therapy.

Reports and video on the Citizen social media crime app refer to smoke coming out of the third story of the building, but LAFD responded and put it out quickly. (“Small fire, big response,” said O’Brien.)

The Citizen reports (submitted by individual app users) currently offer conflicting information about the fire’s origins – one entry says it may have started with food burning on a stove…while another post says police are responding to reports of an arson suspect in the area. Neither has been verified.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.
