Former La Boulange Set to Become Starbucks Evenings

la-boulange

When the Starbucks company opened La Boulange at 359 S. La Brea, in June of 2014, it was supposed to be the first in a new line of “differentiated brand of premium bakery cafes.”  But although the venue it seemed to meet with a positive reception from area residents, it didn’t last long and the cafe closed in September, 2015.

It looks, though, like Starbucks isn’t finished with the location.  EaterLA reported yesterday that the old La Boulange will soon morph into a Starbucks Evenings, which – like La Boulange – offers wine, craft beer and small plates in addition to coffee, pastries and sandwiches.  Starbucks has apparently not yet announced an opening date for the new version of the business, but we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on it.
