GWNC Seats New Board, Elects New Officers

At its May board meeting last night, Wednesday, May 11 – the first meeting since its recent election results were certified – the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council (GWNC) seated its new Board members, and elected officers for the new two-year term.

According to the certified election results, 12 members of the Board were re-elected to their positions, including:

Owen Smith – Area 1 (Brookside)
Jeffry Carpenter – Area 2 (Citrus Square)
Frances McFall – Are 3 (Country Club Heights)
Cam Davis – Area 4 (Fremont Place)
James Wolf – Area 5 (Hancock Park)
Patricia Carroll – Area 10 (Ridgewood-Wilton/St. Andrews Square)
Greg Wittmann – Area 12 (Western-Wilton)
John Gresham – Area 13 (Wilshire Park)
Julie Stromberg – Area 15 (Windsor Village)
John Winther – Business
Mike Genewick – Religion
Joe Hoffman- Renters

The eight newly elected Board members include:

Barbara Savage – Area 6 (La Brea-Hancock; former alternate for this seat)
Charles D’Atri – Area 7 (Larchmont Village; former alternate for this seat)
Philip Farha – Area 8 (Melrose; former alternate for this seat)
Nancy Kim – Area 9 (Oakwood-Maplewood-St. Andrews)
Steven Senigram – Area 11 (Sycamore Square)
Caroline Labiner Moser – Area 14 (Windsor Square; former alternate for this seat)
Tucker Carney – Other Non-Profit
Karen Gilman – At Large (former alternate for this seat)

(Note – one Board seat, Education, remains open.)

In officer elections after the new Board was installed last night, Owen Smith (President), James Wolf (Vice President), and Patti Carroll (Treasurer) were re-elected to their positions, while Joe Hoffman, the returning Renters representative, was elected the new Secretary.
