Finding the plants is often the most challenging part of gardening because commercial nurseries don’t have the expertise or the interest to cultivate interesting varieties of plants. Serious gardeners turn to plant specialists for inspiration and so can you at the Hancock Park Garden Club’ pop up plant sale Saturday, March 4, 2017.
The garden club, formed in the neighborhood in 1960 by a small group of dedicated gardeners. As part of the Garden Club of America, the HPGC is committed to conservation and education about good gardening practices and stewardship of the land.
“I wanted to have a plant sale that would bring the plant vendors we love to the neighborhood,” said Ginger Lincoln, HPGC President. “We are thrilled to be at the Ebell and share the proceeds of the sale with their Garden Department as they undertake a restoration of their historic garden.”
“We will have unusual and hard to find plants as well as several plant experts giving talks on how to plant more sustainable gardens, grow tomatoes, daylilies and iris,” said Marnie Owens, HPGC plant sale chair.  “Along with the vendors listed below we have great potters, linen purveyors, cactus and succulent suppliers, etc.”
