The office of City Council Member David Ryu posted a message to the community yesterday about several big events and street closures scheduled in Hollywood this weekend.  It’s a good heads-up if you’re planning to be out and about in the area on Saturday or Sunday.

The events and closures include:

Hollywood Boulevard between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive will be closed starting at 12:01am, Sunday, June 24th thru the night of Monday, June 25th, for the premiere of the movie, “Ant Man and the Wasp.”

The annual Los Angeles Culture Festival and Parade will take place on Saturday, June 23, 2018. The parade route is along Hollywood Blvd., with a full closure of Hollywood Blvd. from Western Ave. to Highland Ave. beginning at approximately 10:00 a.m. and lasting until approximately 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

And, finally, both the Hollywood Bowl and the John Anson Ford Theatres will be hosting evening concerts on Saturday, June 23, Sunday, June 24th and Monday, June 25th, so traffic will be heavy on those nights as well.

City officials are advising that all unnecessary travel in the area bound by the following streets be avoided this weekend, if possible:

North: Barham Boulevard
South: Sunset Boulevard
East: Cahuenga Boulevard
West: La Brea Avenue
