LA High Open House and Showcase – TONIGHT

LAHighOpenHouseheader2

Yesterday, we mentioned some great retail events on Larchmont tonight…but once you’re out and about, there’s another wonderful event to check out, just south of the Village:  the open house and school/student showcase at Los Angeles High School, 4650 W. Olympic Blvd., which will run from 5:30 to 7:30 this evening.  The event will feature “highlights of EVERYTHING happening at L.A. High,” including food, entertainment, information on academics and other programs, performances by Dance Production, drama, cheer, band and color guard students, a special presentation for prospective families, science fair and robotics demonstrations, athletic programs and ROTC, treats from the Culinary Arts program, art and video exhibits, and information on the Math/Science magnet program.

There will also be an official reveal of the new Teen Court space, and the debut of “Change,” the premiere exhibit of student art at the new LA High Museum, located in the school’s Ray Bradbury Memorial Library:

“Change is constant in diverse urban centers! L.A. High is a microcosm that reflects the shifts in fashion, slang, culture, politics and demographics, like a mirror reflecting the broader changes in American culture.”

Everyone is welcome – come and see all the wonderful things happening at our neighborhood high school.  Free parking is available on campus.
