LACMA Receives Threat – Closes for the Day

At 10:45 this morning, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art posted the following on Twitter.com:

The post was followed by another in which the museum announced that all of its programming, including this evening’s jazz performance, would also be canceled…and then the La Brea Tar Pits posted that it, too, has closed for the day:

This is all the confirmed information we have at this time, but the Buzz will monitor the situation and will update this story as we learn more later today.

The Tar Pits has announced it has received an “all clear”:
