LAPD’s Wilshire Division has announced that the lobby of its station at 4861Venice Blvd. can now be used as an “exchange safe zone.” Â If you need to meet someone to conduct a child hand-off, private property sale, or e-commerce transaction, you can do it in this safe space, rather than inviting someone you don’t know or don’t want there into your home or other personal space. Â The area is always open, well lit, under constant surveillance and just steps away from help, if needed.
