LAPD Launches “Exchange Safe Zone”

LAPD’s Wilshire Division has announced that the lobby of its station at 4861Venice Blvd. can now be used as an “exchange safe zone.”  If you need to meet someone to conduct a child hand-off, private property sale, or e-commerce transaction, you can do it in this safe space, rather than inviting someone you don’t know or don’t want there into your home or other personal space.  The area is always open, well lit, under constant surveillance and just steps away from help, if needed.
