The Los Angeles Police Department and Wilshire Division Detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of a suspect involved in a recent assault in the Wilshire community.
On Monday, May 22, 2017, around 8:30 a.m., an elderly victim was kicked and punched multiple times at
La Brea and Oakwood. The suspect fled on foot, northbound on La Brea Avenue from Oakwood Avenue. Video of the assault is available in an ABC7 News story broadcast yesterday.
The suspect is described as a transient male, African-American (light skinned), white/grey hair, grey eyes, stands 6 feet tall, weighs 150 pounds, and is approximately 40 years of age.
