Larchmont Charter School will celebrate it’s 10th Anniversary with a fundraising Gala, Friday, May 15th at the Park Plaza Hotel.
A key component of the Larchmont Charter School’s mission is to provide exceptional public education to a socio-economically, culturally and racially diverse community of students.  Funds raised at the annual gala support a variety of programs at the school which gives admission priority to students who qualify for the free hot lunch program resulting in a large portion of students whose family income falls below the poverty line.
Larchmont Charter School (LCS) opened its doors in 2005 as a K-2 elementary school serving 160 students. Â LCS now enrolls more than 1,200 students across four campuses in grades K-11 and will graduate its first high school class in 2016.
The school was founded 10 years ago by a group of Larchmont area parents that had a vision to create a high performing public school valuing progressive education, diversity and community involvement.  Through a decade of tireless work – this dream has become a reality for thousands of local families and will be a beacon of excellence for decades to come.
