BARK: Kids Read to Dogs
Saturday, 9/19, 2:00 pm
Join us and read books to dogs! BARK is an all-volunteer program that encourages children to increase their reading skills and self-confidence by reading aloud to certified therapy dogs. Studies show that reading to these dogs actually leads to improvement in reading skills! Younger children may also attend.
Tea Party
Thursday, 9/24, 4:00 pm
You are cordially invited to join us for a delightful afternoon of stories and tea. Wear your finest washable tea party apparel, and come prepared to decorate a cookie and hobnob. Children of all ages welcome.
WEEKLY PROGRAMS:
Baby and Toddler Storytime with the Librarian (starting 9/16)
Every Wednesday (starting 9/16), 10:30 am and 11:00 am
Both sessions are the same. Enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, movement activities and more with Ms. Megan, the Children’s Librarian.
STAR: Volunteers Read to Kids
Tuesdays, 1:00-3:00; Fridays, 3:00-5:00 pm
Official library volunteers read in the children’s book area. Read stories together and learn how to earn a free book. Drop in anytime during their shifts.
