Where Would You Like to Put a Public Plaza?

A public plaza proposed for the Silverlake area, under the city’s People St. program.

As part of its effort to revitalize local streetscapes, the city’s “People St.” program will soon be taking applications for proposals to create public plazas in various places around Los Angeles.  Applications will be accepted from April 2- May 31, and people or groups interested in learning more and/or applying can attend any of several upcoming information sessions about the program.

All of the meeting locations and dates are listed on the second photo below…but the closest to most of our Buzz readers will be held on Wednesday, February 28, at 6 p.m., at the LADOT District Field Office, 6501 Fountain Ave.

Check it out – and see the links above for more information – if you’ve been looking for a lively way to improve and activate an area along one of your local streets.
