They did it again! This makes the 11th straight win for the Los Angeles Tennis Club’s junior players beating their fellow junior teams around the city. LATC’s Open 2 Team has won the West Los Angeles League Junior Championship. The West LA Junior League is comprised of teams from local clubs, tennis clubs and parks who play against each other in three seasons, fall winter and spring.

The Open 2 team has dominated the West LA Junior League under the leadership of Coach and LATC Tennis Professional Godwin Omuta who has been guiding these young players for several years.

The historic club, located in Hancock Park who once hosted juniors Venus and Serena Williams, has five teams of juniors starting with one Novice team, two Satellite teams and two Open Teams. Players are ranked by ability, not age, but they range in age from 8-17 years old.

The LATC program is open to the non-members. Junior players are introduced to the teams  through the  from LATC Summer and winter as well as weekly clinics and lessons.
