Local LAPD Senior Lead Officer Running Another Marathon – in Uniform – Tomorrow

Over the last couple of years, LAPD Olympic Division Senior Lead Officer Joe Cirrito has gained a bit of local notoriety by running in several marathons and half-marathons to earn money for good causes…and doing it in full uniform.

On Sunday, July 23 (tomorrow) Cirrito will be at it again as he hits the streets of San Francisco for the San Francisco Marathon – in full uniform…in the middle of July – to raise money for Olympic Division’s new Police Activity League.  The PAL is a partnership between local community and law enforcement agencies, designed “to encourage young people to become responsible, productive and law abiding citizens by offering character building, educational and life-enhancing programs.”

If you’d like to reward Cirrito’s above-and-beyond efforts and support a great cause, it’s not too late to make a donation at https://app.mobilecause.com/form/iFAMlQ
