More Palm Tree Pairs

Here’s a pair of palms supporting a ficus on Rimpau Blvd on the southeast corner of 9th and Rimpau. (We found theses trees while we were out scouting for another pair in Carthay Circle.)

Last week, we learned about several palm/pine tree pairs growing in the area. Thanks to Buzz reader Ann Rubin, of Carthay Circle, we learned about several other trees paired with palm trees. Rubin told us about a London Plane and palm on San Vicente just west of Carillo in her neighborhood. We found it, and, we also found two others while driving on Rimpau Blvd. All the trees were street trees that seemed to be happily living in our neighborhood parkways.

Reader Ann Rubin found this London Plane paired with a California Fan Palm on the south side of San Vicente Blvd just west of Carillo in Carthay Circle

Also on Rimpau (between 9th Street and Olympic Blvd., in the middle of the block, on the west side of the street) is a pair with a stone pine and a fan palm variety.

Do you know of any other palm tree pairs in your neighborhood?  If so, send us a picture!
